I am President/CEO of Cook Paving & Construction Company. I have been an owner of Cook since 1999 and in 2011 I became the President/CEO of Cook. Cook Paving & Construction is a 74-year-old construction business started back in the 1950s by Montry Cook and his son Thomas Cook. The business is known for paving and has evolved over the years into site, underground utilities and concrete construction. My company has a rich history as a small minority business, and we work for various GCs throughout the City and Northeast Ohio.

I have a staff of 20 internally and 60 - 70 in the field depending on contract needs. I have 3 executive managers that report directly to me VP Estimating and Sales, VP Operations, Controller of the organization. Full Warehouse & Shop.

My history started at Cook has a receptionist a mother of 3 I was hired by former owners Richard A Rogers, Dave Cabbil. Mr. Rogers and Mr. Cabbil gave me opportunities to learn the business at a time where you as an employee wore many hats. An opportunity arose in 1996 for the Company by Mr. Rogers with a utility company called SBC through a supplier diversity event that Mr. Rogers and I attended. Mr. Rogers and I registered with the Company to be one of their suppliers for Outside Plant Construction, hence creating work for the company. Thats when I got my shot at being a project manager for the company with Mr. Rogers’ assistance while still maintaining the job as a receptionist until the contract required my full-time attention.

Today Cook is still known as the go to company for performing those key jobs for our general contractor concrete, paving, site and underground utilities. We still retain the foundering owner Thomas Cook motto “Service Integrity & Quality”.
