Aria Johnson is a visionary leader advancing equity, access, and inclusion in the construction industry. With more than seven years of experience, she has championed strategies that dismantle barriers, scale minority-owned businesses, and create pathways to generational wealth.

As Director of Construction Initiatives at the Greater Cleveland Partnership, Aria leads equity-focused programs designed to grow and sustain Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs). Her work bridges public-private partnerships, workforce development, and policy advocacy, ensuring economic development is both inclusive and community-centered.

Aria began her career in marketing, design, and business development, bringing a creative and strategic lens to her work in construction. Since transitioning into the field, she has become a respected voice in advancing DEI-driven initiatives and expanding opportunities for historically excluded businesses.

A passionate mentor and community advocate, Aria serves as a lead mentor for ACE Cleveland, supporting high school students exploring careers in architecture, construction, and engineering. She also plays a vital role in grassroots efforts focused on entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and equitable policy.

Aria holds a Master’s in Business and Project Management and a Master’s in Urban Studies, solidifying her expertise in economic and community development.

A firm believer in sustainability—in both business and life—Aria finds joy in kayaking, writing poetry, tending to her 100+ houseplants, and growing food in her community garden. Whether mentoring the next generation or shaping systemic change, she is committed to building a future where success is accessible, inclusive, and shared.
