Jazmin Long is the President & CEO of Birthing Beautiful Communities (BBC), a nonprofit dedicated to improving birth outcomes by connecting Black women with neighborhood-based doulas and perinatal support teams at no cost. Guided by the belief that strong communities start with healthy babies, Jazmin leads BBC with a focus on addressing the social determinants of health - like housing, education, and employment - that contribute to high infant mortality rates. Under her leadership, BBC has raised over $6 million, expanded services to Akron, secured contracts with major insurers, and has broken ground on Ohio’s only free-standing birthing center in April 2025. Jazmin also brings her expertise to several boards and academic roles, including Near West Theatre, Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, Case Western Reserve University and Kent State University.
