Driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to beautiful spaces, Katie sees design as a tool for empowerment, inclusion, and revitalization. Her work reflects a deep commitment to listening first to ensure that the built environment truly serves those who live and work within it.
Katie is especially passionate about the intersection of design and social impact. She thrives on complex, layered projects and is constantly seeking opportunities for design to catalyze long-term, positive change. From affordable housing and mixed-use developments to institutional and civic projects, her work prioritizes equity, sustainability, and a strong sense of place.
She is particularly proud to lead the design and engineering team for Birthing Beautiful Communities’ new freestanding birth center and headquarters—Ohio’s first Black-led freestanding birth center. This catalytic project was designed with great intention and in close partnership with the people it will serve.
Katie holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame and is a licensed architect in the state of Ohio. When not working, she enjoys exploring Cleveland’s neighborhoods and breweries, inspired by the people and places that make the city unique.
