Rodney K. Strong is the C.E.O. of Griffin & Strong, P.C., a law and public policy consulting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently the project principal for public policy consulting engagements with numerous state and local government entities. A member of the State Bar of Georgia, he represents a range of public entity and corporate clients, specializing in public contract, community development and real estate law. He is also the general counsel for the Metro Atlanta Land Bank Authority. He has been the supplier diversity consultant for numerous major construction projects. Most recently, he was the supplier diversity consultant for both the Mercedes-Benz Stadium construction and the State Farm Arena renovation in Atlanta.
He is widely considered one of the foremost national experts in the area of procurement disparity research and supplier diversity program development. His experience in these areas began in 1984, when then-Mayor Andrew Young appointed him Director of Contract Compliance for the City of Atlanta, a position he held until 1992.
He is a graduate of the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he was a Herbert Herff Presidential Law Scholar. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Morehouse College.
